Since Fall 2017 when Washtenaw Community College introduced its zero-cost textbook program, students have saved nearly $9 million thanks to 47 courses being taught with an open educational resource (OER).

Medical researcher got debt-free start at WCC

With WCC’s affordable tuition and an academic scholarship to boot, Dan Tyrrell started his educational journey without the burden of student debt. The money he saved went toward a Ph.D. program at Wake Forest University.

Applications being accepted for Futures for Frontliners program

The State of Michigan has opened applications for its Futures for Frontliners program that will cover tuition costs at Washtenaw Community College and other community colleges for those who served as essential workers during the COVID-19 pandemic.
