About Pam McCombs

Pam McCombs taught Harry Potter: Children’s Literature, Literary Allusion, and Pop Culture for six years at EMU, and she taught in the First-Year Writing program for 14 years at Eastern Michigan University. In Fall 2025, Pam will be teaching English 111 at Washtenaw Community College. She will also be at EMU as a writing consultant for the UWC. She has been with the UWC since 2017 and enjoys working one-on-one with undergrad and grad students. Volunteering has also been a big part of her life. She volunteered for the Ann Arbor District Library Friends Bookshop for ten years and now volunteers for YpsiWrites, a part of the Office of Campus and Community Writing at EMU. Pam joined the College In Prison staff in 2023 as a writing consultant and enjoys the conversations with these inspiring students.
