About Lea Benton
I am an art student and work-study employee at WCC. I've always had a passion for
the arts, and I intend to be an illustrator and storyteller professionally in my ideal
future. I also love animals, currently having two dogs, Tobie and Jake, and four parakeets.
I've also had guinea pigs and fish as pets in the past as well, but dogs have always
been my favorite animal. In my free time when I am not making art, I like to read
comics, play video games, and watch scary movies.
I graduated from the Saline school district in 2014, and started my WCC education
the following Spring to get a graphic design degree. I ended up dropping out before
the 2017 Winter Semester due to a lack of passion for the subject, and it wasn't until
Fall of 2022 that I returned to get a degree in Fine Arts thanks to the Michigan Reconnect
Program paying for all of my tuition. I now plan on graduating after the Spring 2025
semester.
